Who is Convertim for?

Converting a folder of images meant picking a compromise. Free online converters make you upload your files, show ads and cap how many you can do at once, which hurts when the photos are private or there are hundreds of them. Desktop tools either want an install and an account, or serve only one audience: friendly apps with no command line, or command-line tools like ImageMagick that most people won't touch. So people ended up juggling a website for quick jobs and a script for everything else.
