Posted in the feed5dWrote my first DEV article! Replying to a post on dev.to about a recent issue motivated me to write about my own experience. Such a small world. 4 times a "success" message lied to me while testing Nginx and Apache configs - a reload that exited 0 but kept the old config, a push that never deployed, and two more. Each one comes with the check that catches it. Which "success" message got you? https://dev.to/ba796/4-times-the-success-message-lied-to-me-2knnCommented on Inkfox AI9dnice. love the vibe.Commented on ProxyForge23dso i don't speak Chinese but the translator says "its similar to your approach".. hope that's correct.. if so, thumbs up! - (我不会说中文,但翻译软件显示“这和你的方法类似”……希望翻译没错……如果是这样的话,那太棒了! )Commented on ProxyForge23dThanks, glad you agree.Commented on ProxyForge24dSo there is an update. I'm added an "Older Nginx (before 1.25.1)" option on the config and SSL generators pages. Tick it and the HTTPS block uses "listen 443 ssl http2;" instead of "http2 on;" so it loads on Ubuntu 22.04 and Debian 11 packages. Recommendation is live.Commented on ProxyForge24dIt already does. Every output panel has a "Verified: Nginx 1.27.x / Apache 2.4.x" badge next to the Copy button. Have you view the website? Older distro packages are a fair point, though. For example, the `http2 on;` line needs Nginx 1.25.1 or newer, and older versions use `listen 443 ssl http2;` instead. Humm.. taking notes here. I'm may just add notes like that for common older versions.
